As I turned 29 (2 weeks ago) I was thinking about how boring, uneventful, and ordinary turning 29 is. You don't feel any different. There's no discounts, privileges, or tax exemptions coming. It's really just the last hurrah before 30.
But the week before and the week after I got cards in the mail. Some with money in them, this is more habit by now than anything. Some with just "I Love You, congrats on getting old".
The Friday before we throw a party and manage to get 2 grandmas, a grandpa, a mom, a dad, 2 great aunts, 2 aunts, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 nieces, and a nephew all at our place. I got gifts from most and a card from the rest.
I know this isn't typical, and that makes it more than just another birthday. My family's a little weird and no one's ever called us normal, but they're a pretty committed when it comes to their relatives...and birthday cake.
A peek into samples of our world. Hope you enjoy, and to God be the Glory. - Jeremy and Maria

Purging Life...or at least attempting.
I laughed tonight as I remembered when my sister had two kids I'd go over to their house and think, "Wow, this place wouldn't be too bad if she'd just clean up once in awhile."
It's funny because now I have one kid and somehow my garage is a disaster, there's always dishes on the counter, the "1-yr projects" have turned into the "hope-to-get-to-someday projects", clothes always need washed, the landscaping is a wreck, grass needs mowed, I'm stepping on toys, finding things I lost months ago, and it's hard to tell if we're gaining. This post I'm leaving pictures out.
Actually, we are gaining. But we've had to put some put some things on hold, post-pone some projects, and become frequent donators to Goodwill. We keep working on the rule if we haven't worn/used an item in a year, it needs to go.
I don't know what happens when Jr. starts moving...

Take me out to the ball game
Went to a Tin Caps game with the bible study group. Of course, why not enter myself and Senor Chad Fiechter in the Stallion Relay Challenge. Everything was going great till the homestretch when we got a little tight on the rail with another steed. We basically got railroaded (see video) out of the 1st place trophy and wound up coming in last. Race officials apparently missed everything, we were probably galloping too fast.
The guy taking the group pic must not have been used to smartphone buttons, hence the numerous "quality" shots he managed to get.

Celebrating our birthday boy
We've been celebrating Jeremy all weekend:) he does so much to make Jones and my life so nice that we wanted dad to feel loved and honored:)
We had a great birthday party on Friday night celebrating mom (Leonda ) and Jeremy and John. By the end of the night we got some sweet pics of Jones and olive in their diapers:)
Free breakfast at Harlan cafe.. because this family is all about free...
The birthday boy.. never too old for this guy. Neither does discounted Bandits for supper with friends!
Morning cuddles with dad on his birthday. .
Ben and Austin ate 2 meals with us plus a game night. Aunt Kristy watched Jones on the big day so Jeremy and me could go golf for the first time in 2 years!
